Job Summary (Nuclear Medicine/PET Tech – PIH Health Whittier):
\n
\n- Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
\n- Conduct exams involving all vascular and organ systems.
\n- Maintain technical competency in nuclear medicine and computed tomography (CT).
\n- Administer radioisotopes and operate related imaging equipment.
\n- Apply knowledge of ALARA principles, radiation physics, biology, and protection measures.
\n- Accurately execute exposure techniques and patient care protocols.
\n- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
\n- Transport patients as needed for imaging studies.
\n- Maintain current California DHS License (N) (R), ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification.
\n- Hold valid CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
\n- Utilize two years of experience in a hospital setting, including fusion imaging.
\n- Preference for ARRT (CT) certification and bilingual abilities (Spanish/Chinese).
