Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hrs
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Charting: Meditech
- Cardiac Catheterization Procedures: ~18–20 hrs/week
Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, monitor patients, and support physicians during procedures. - Interventional Cardiology Cases: ~8–10 hrs/week
Participate in PCI procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, and structural heart procedures. - Device Implant Procedures: ~4–5 hrs/week
Support pacemaker and ICD/defibrillator implant cases, patient monitoring, and recovery. - Pre/Post Procedure Care: ~4–5 hrs/week
Patient preparation, sedation monitoring, recovery assessments, sheath management, and discharge education. - Documentation & Team Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week
Meditech charting, procedure documentation, and multidisciplinary communication.
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- Previous Cath Lab experience required
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and emergency response
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Experience with PCI and peripheral vascular interventions
- 8 Cath Lab procedure rooms/beds
- Team consists of 4 RNs and 3 CV Techs
- Cardiovascular invasive procedure environment
- Meditech EMR
- Collaborative, team-oriented culture
- Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Peripheral Vascular Procedures
- Pacemaker Implantation
- ICD/Defibrillator Implantation
- Weekday Call: 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend Call: 48-hour coverage
- Expected approximately 10–12 call days per month
Experienced Cath Lab RN with strong procedural and critical-care skills, comfortable assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, device implants, and emergency situations. Candidates should be team-oriented, adaptable, and able to respond to call requirements while maintaining excellent patient care.
