American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas.

Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:5-6. Weekend coverage required for approximately half of the contract.
Highlights:- 36-bed telemetry unit specializing in medical cardiac care and post-cardiac intervention patients
- Patient population includes cardiac surgery recovery, post-coronary stent placement, pacemaker implants, and stable non-procedural cardiac patients
- All private rooms with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system with onsite orientation provided
- 91-day travel assignment in East Texas
- Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, post-cardiac procedures, and 1:6 patient ratios
- Proficiency in vasoactive drip management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, and accessing/managing ports
- Candidates must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
