Job Summary
We’re hiring a skilled Vinyl Cutting and Printing Technician to support our sign manufacturing operations in Cedar Hill, TX. This hands-on role requires experience in vinyl production and machine operation. You’ll be responsible for preparing artwork, setting up machines, producing vinyl materials, and ensuring product quality from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cut and print files based on client drawings
- Operate vinyl cutting and printing machines safely and accurately
- Set up machines with required tooling and consumables
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting
- Read blueprints, technical plans, and use precise measurements
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards
- Monitor and manage scrap for efficient material usage
- Confirm work orders using both paper and computer systems
- Package materials according to customer specs
- Stage products for shipping and manage supply inventory
- Assist in general shop tasks and maintain clean work area
- Maximize output and maintain production goals
Required Experience
- Proven experience operating vinyl or related production machinery
- Mechanical aptitude for machine setup, adjustments, and repairs
- Ability to interpret blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the sign manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with scrap reduction and inventory management
- Knowledge of packaging and shipping processes
Required Skills
- Proficient in operating vinyl cutters and large format printers
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and consistent quality control
