Job Description
Job Title: Tool & Die Tech III
As a Tool & Die Tech III in the Production department your goal is to maintain, troubleshoot and repairs dies, die components, and tooling used in the production process.
You can expect to:
- Use manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularly
- Work often in production areas outside of the Tool Room to troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses
- Comply with safety and work rules for the area they are working in, and follow all required safety practices
You will do this by:
- Maintaining stamping dies of all types, die components and production tooling, and troubleshooting dies in the press
- Installing and adjusting die and tooling components as necessary
- Interpreting complex detail and component drawings
- Producing parts to print tolerances
- Maintaining production tooling within quality standards
- Communicating effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment status

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State-indentured Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years’ experience with die construction and repair; including stamping die experience
- Familiarity with stamping dies of all types
- Proficient with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient understanding of modern punch press principles.
- Proficient mathematical knowledge with whole numbers, decimal, geometric functions and trigonometry calculations
- Must have own tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNC experience
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time if needed
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend
- Ability to reach overhead with one or both arms
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Close, Distant and Peripheral vision
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing: Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)

Shift Hours: Monday- Friday 6am to 2pm with overtime on Saturdays
