Job Title: Ultrasound / Vascular Technologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound / Vascular Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will play a vital part in patient care by setting up and operating advanced ultrasound equipment, adjusting controls based on specific anatomical requirements, and performing high-quality diagnostic examinations. You will work across both general and vascular imaging protocols, ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and optimal safety at all times.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current, dedicated Ultrasound and Vascular experience [Required].
- Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related healthcare field is [Highly Preferred].
Licensure & Certifications
- Registry Credentials: Active registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Candidates must hold both RDMS Abdomen (AB) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials [Required].
- Life Support: Current Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS / BLS) Certification [Required].
- State Licensure: Must possess or be fully eligible for a state Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (MIRT) license.
Key Responsibilities
- Procedural Execution: Select proper transducers, configure ultrasound configurations, and adjust technical controls (depth of field, focal zones, gain) according to specific patient anatomy and exam guidelines.
- Patient Care & Safety: Clearly explain imaging steps to patients, adapting communication to their age and level of understanding. Assess and manage patient pain levels during scans, coordinating with physicians for clinical intervention when necessary.
- Clinical Quality & Protocols: Perform all diagnostic examinations in strict accordance with established medical standards, safety protocols, and quality indicators to minimize the risk of healthcare errors.
- Documentation & Maintenance: Accurately document all patient clinical findings, update medical histories within the EMR system, and perform routine safety adjustments and maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
