About the Practice
Our Rheumatology team includes five providers delivering comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency consultative care for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions. The practice provides advanced evaluation and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders affecting the joints, muscles, bones, and soft tissues, including arthritis and other complex autoimmune diseases.

As a Clinic/Practice Assistant, you will partner closely with one other front desk team member to support a busy outpatient specialty practice. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong patient relationships, keeping operations running smoothly, and serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and care team members.
What You'll Do
* Welcome patients and support check-in and check-out procedures.
* Schedule appointments, maintain appointment records, and assist callers with routine inquiries.
* Answer a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and excellent customer service.
* Collect copayments as needed and process patient billing forms.
* Scan documents into the patient medical record and support accurate documentation workflows.
* Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
* Serve as a scheduling, registration, and billing system resource and provide guidance or training to others as needed.
* Support daily practice operations in partnership with the supervisor and practice team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of medical office or front desk experience required.
- Epic experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, copayment collection, and high-volume phone coverage preferred.
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant preferred.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent patient service.
