About this job
Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Operator to join their team. As a CNC Operator, you will be part of the R&D shop supporting the production and tooling team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical aptitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: Gwinn, MI
Pay Range: $27.00 per hour
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm with overtime on Fridays or additional shifts as needed
What’s the Job?
Set up and operate CNC machines and equipment.
Supervise machines during operation and make adjustments as needed.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
Maintain detailed records for equipment and procedures.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Identify and report needed mold, tooling, or equipment repairs.
Assist with mold making, cleaning, inspection, and preparation processes.
Complete R&D shop assignments with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Check inserts and mold dimensions as needed.
Dispose of old molds as directed by management.
Accurately label molds with part numbers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Support continuous improvement efforts by providing input on shop processes and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What’s Needed?
High School diploma or equivalent.
CAD/CAM experience required (CamWorks preferred).
Knowledge of metrology equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic shop math.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Ability to operate an 8,000-pound capacity forklift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear required PPE including nose and mouth coverings.
