Position Summary

REMA TIP TOP is seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics & Materials Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and materials planning at our Madison, Georgia facility.

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the plant while maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and optimizing warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will provide leadership to warehouse and logistics personnel, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, a passion for operational excellence, and experience managing logistics and materials functions in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Warehouse Operations

  • Lead all warehouse, shipping, receiving, and materials management activities.
  • Ensure efficient movement of materials to support production and customer delivery requirements.
  • Manage relationships with freight carriers and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor transportation performance and identify opportunities to reduce freight costs.
  • Minimize premium freight usage through proactive planning and inventory management.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory control systems and perpetual inventory records.
  • Lead cycle count programs and annual physical inventory processes.
  • Analyze inventory performance and implement strategies to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Support working capital objectives through effective inventory management practices.
  • Monitor and improve inventory accuracy and related KPIs.

Production & Planning Support

  • Participate in Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activities.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, and Production teams to ensure material availability.
  • Lead daily expedite processes and actively participate in production meetings.
  • Support production schedules by ensuring timely material flow throughout the facility.
  • Manage plant-level tactical purchasing activities as required.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse, inventory, and logistics processes.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cost reduction and operational efficiency projects.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators related to inventory, logistics, service levels, and freight costs.
  • Support ISO compliance and company quality management systems.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and training.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and attendance expectations.


Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing warehouse, logistics, or materials teams.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse operations.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • APICS, CLTD, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience with SIOP processes and materials planning.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments and may require:

  • Frequent sitting and computer work.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout production and warehouse areas.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling as needed.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments including noise, dust, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe footwear, and other PPE as required.


Schedule

  • Monday Friday
  • Typical hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
