Imagine starting your morning by reviewing the day’s service and install schedule, aligning dispatch with capacity, and checking yesterday’s KPIs. By mid-morning, you’re coaching a lead plumber on technical standards and safety practices before stepping into a quick huddle with HVAC and electrical leaders to coordinate cross-trade work. After lunch, you’re tightening up budgets and forecasts, approving invoices, and calling a homeowner to ensure their experience was five-star. You close the day by refining training plans and recognizing a tech who nailed a tough diagnostic. That’s a day in the life of our Residential Plumbing Operations Director at Anderson Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical.

What you’ll lead

• Team leadership: Guide a high-performing group of residential plumbers and support staff. Establish clear expectations, provide regular coaching, and conduct structured performance reviews.
• Training and safety: Build and run technical and safety training programs that raise proficiency and ensure compliance.
• Operational excellence: Oversee daily service and installation workflows, optimize schedules and dispatch, and uphold workmanship and customer satisfaction standards.
• Customer advocacy: Communicate proactively, resolve escalations quickly, and ensure issues are closed with care and professionalism.
• Financial stewardship: Own budgets, forecasts, and reporting. Control costs while maintaining quality, and ensure accurate, timely billing and invoicing.
• Compliance: Enforce company policies and procedures while staying current with codes, industry trends, and best practices.

What it takes to thrive

• 7+ years in residential plumbing service and/or installation with proven service management or equivalent leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills; strong problem-solving acumen; comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Financial literacy including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Service Titan experience desired.
• Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record; able to obtain a chauffeur’s license if required.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical/drug screen and background check.
