Press & Roll Operators

POSITION SUMMARY

Operates press brake, plate roll, and related metal forming equipment to bend and shape steel plate into required forms for geotechnical equipment components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend steel plate per specifications
• Operate plate rolling equipment to form cylindrical and conical shapes
• Read blueprints and forming diagrams to determine bend angles and radii
• Inspect formed parts for dimensional accuracy
• Change and maintain tooling and dies for press brake
• Safely handle and stage heavy steel plate using overhead crane or forklift
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years press brake or plate forming experience
• Ability to read forming drawings
• Familiarity with plate rolling equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with CNC press brakes
• Crane operator certification
• Forklift certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Heavy lifting (team lifts for plate stock), prolonged standing, exposure to noise and metal. PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
