Badger State Staffing is seeking Floor Technicians for full-time opportunities on second and third shift based in the Fox Valley. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience in floor care, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Primary Duties:
- Perform routine cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and stripping to maintain a polished appearance.
- Conduct carpet cleaning procedures including vacuuming, shampooing, and stain removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively, including buffers, polishers, and extractors.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other common areas by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
- Follow established safety protocols and environmentally friendly practices during all custodial activities.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled or required.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services within commercial or institutional settings.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques specific to floor care, carpet cleaning, and environmental services.
- Familiarity with the operation of buffing machines, carpet extractors, and other custodial equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
