- This is a Part-Time or Full-time position.
- Mileage reimbursement
- The compensation range is $30-$35 an hour
- 12-month contract
Responsibilities:
- Perform source inspections at supplier facilities to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of critical features and witness inspections, including CMM inspections when required.
- Verify workmanship standards
- Ensure products are free of defects such as scratches, dents, burrs, gaps, mismatches, loose hardware, and foreign object debris (FOD).
- Review and validate inspection records, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and other quality documentation.
- Verify inspection methods and measurement equipment are appropriate and capable of detecting nonconformances.
- Audit supplier compliance to inspection plans, quality requirements, and preservation/packaging standards.
- Review shipping documentation for accuracy, traceability, and completeness prior to product release.
- Document inspection results and communicate findings to customers, suppliers, and quality representatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace, manufacturing, and customer quality standards.
Skills and Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years of inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
- Experience performing source, in-process, and final inspections.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI/AS9102), inspection plans, and quality documentation.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace or manufacturing quality standards.
- Ability to identify workmanship defects and verify product conformity.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to supplier locations as required.
Must be willing to undergo a background check and must be ITAR complaint.
