Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our new pharmacy team. Glacier Community Health Center recently purchased a locally-owned, independent pharmacy located in Cut Bank, MT. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, working closely with medical staff to plan and assess patient treatment, and offering support to patients and their families. The Pharmacist will also work with Glacier CHC patients, providing clinical pharmacy services on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Dispensing medications accurately and counseling patients on proper medication use and potential side effects.
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Assisting in the ongoing assessment and planning of patient treatments.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided to patients.
  • Offering guidance and support to patients, their families, medical staff, and other appropriate persons involved in care.
  • Ensure pharmaceuticals, including vaccines, are properly packaged, distributed, prepared, and stored.
  • Manage the 340b drug discount program.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians preparing and dispensing medications.

Skills

  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for managing prescriptions and patient information.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacology and patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing medication regimens and patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a minimum of a BS Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Montana State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Advanced degree (PharmD), health-system pharmacy experience, and/or residency training preferred.

Relocation fees are negotiable and a sign-on bonus is available for experienced candidates. Loan repayment is available through MT Student Loan Repayment Program.
