Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for an Assembler with soldering & wiring experience. This is a contract to potential direct hire opportunity with a manufacturer of products for the RF & Microwave industries located in Hauppauge NY area.
Job Overview:
As an Electronics Assembler in an electronics manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and products according to established procedures and quality standards. This role involves working with various tools, equipment, and materials to ensure the efficient production of high-quality electronic devices.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly of Electronic Components:
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies by following detailed work instructions.
- Tool and Equipment Operation:
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electronic assembly equipment effectively and safely.
- Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment as needed.
- Component Identification:
- Identify and select electronic components based on part numbers and specifications.
- Handle and store components in accordance with electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical education or certification in electronics assembly is a plus.
