Maintenance Technician

 

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and systems to support safe and efficient operations. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and CNC systems. Must have industrial experience, not only residential.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency equipment repairs and rebuild machinery as needed.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using electrical and pneumatic schematics and take corrective action.
  • Utilize PLC interfaces to troubleshoot and diagnose operational problems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment and related systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot automation and robotic equipment.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks and other duties as required.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dirt, grease, smoke, dust, and other industrial conditions.
  • May require working at heights, in confined spaces, and in awkward or physically demanding positions.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and movement throughout the facility.

 

Qualifications

  • Technical school diploma or certificate in a related field with at least one (1) year of maintenance experience; or
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and activities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assist in leading small teams when needed.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to safety.
