Medical Assembler

Location: Sylmar, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Payrate: $21.50/Hr

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assembler to join a leading medical device manufacturing team in Sylmar, CA. In this role, you will support the production of life-saving medical devices including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, assembly, cleanroom, or production experience who are passionate about quality and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, repair, test, and inspect medical device components and finished products.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability documentation.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and manufacturing software.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
  • Participate in achieving production, quality, and operational performance goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, medical device, cleanroom, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic systems.
  • Ability to handle small components and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

This position operates within a highly controlled manufacturing environment where strict cleanliness and contamination-control standards must be followed. Candidates must be comfortable working with small components and adhering to gowning and cleanroom requirements.

Dress Code Requirements

To maintain product quality and regulatory compliance, employees must follow specific attire guidelines, including:

  • Clean, non-shedding clothing free of loose fibers or loose threads.
  • Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with heels no higher than 2 inches.
  • Legs, torso, and upper arms must be fully covered.
  • No nail polish, artificial nails, jewelry, or accessories that could interfere with production requirements.
  • No makeup, perfumes, scented products, or lotions applied after handwashing.
  • All attire must be compatible with required gowning procedures.
