Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Louisiana licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Join a critical access hospital emergency department supporting an approximately 19,000 annual volume, with care teams backed by in-house specialty resources and Epic EMR.

This role supports full emergency department evaluation and management across medical and trauma presentations in a 5-bed emergency department setting.

• Location: Breaux Bridge, Louisiana
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department (5 ED beds)
• Coverage: Ongoing
• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 19,000 visits
• EMR: Ochsner Epic
• On-site capabilities: CT scan, ICU, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition
• Management of acute medical presentations and emergency traumatic injuries
• Clinical coordination with nursing and hospital-based consultants
• Documentation and order entry using the Ochsner Epic electronic medical record system

Schedule Details

• Shift scheduling details available during the presentation

Requirements

• MD
• Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• Louisiana DEA in hand
• Controlled Substance Registration in hand
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine in hand
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification pathways accepted: EM/FM/IM/IM/FM/IM combination experience with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
