Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Louisiana licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Morgan City, Louisiana. You’ll provide Emergency Medicine coverage in a Level 3 trauma-capable emergency department with EPIC EMR and an annual ED volume of approximately 28,000 visits.

Opportunity Details

• Location: Morgan City, Louisiana
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Level 3 trauma-capable emergency department in a hospital with 149 beds (15 ED beds)
• Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage with additional NP/PA coverage

Clinical Scope

• Full-spectrum Emergency Medicine evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition
• Emergency care for a broad mix of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Documentation and order entry using EPIC EMR
• Supervision aligned with facility requirements for NP/PA providers

Practice Environment

• Level 3 trauma-capable emergency department
• EPIC EMR documentation across emergency workflows
• Hospital-based ED environment with physician and NP/PA coverage

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• DEA license with a Louisiana address
• Louisiana Controlled Substance license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (as applicable)
• Experience providing Emergency Medicine coverage in an emergency setting
• Ability to meet supervision requirements for NP/PA oversight per facility standards
