Job Description
H.T. Hackney Co., a privately-owned, broad-line convenience store distributor with over 134 years of service, is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our Delivery Team as we move forward into 2026. We’re now accepting applications for Class A Shuttle Driver positions at our Roane County facility, conveniently located off I-40 at Industrial Park Road, Exit 362.
JOB DUTIES: What exactly will I be doing?
A Class A Shuttle Driver at The H.T. Hackney Co. is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering trailers to the Gallatin facility. Trailers head out in the afternoon, with two nightly runs of doubles or triples from the Roane County facility to Gallatin, Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Perks include set routes, dedicated tractors (no slip seating), in-cab electronic logs and GPS, no merchandising or sales duties, trailers loaded by warehouse staff, on-site fueling and repair, and best of all, the chance to sleep in your own bed every night.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Sunday through Thursday
- Off Friday and Saturday
POSITION REQUIRMENTS:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Endorsed for Double and Triple driving with experience
- Able to drive a manual Transmission
- Demonstrated safe driving history
- Ability to safely park and drop trailers in designated spots
- Motivated to work independently
- Enjoys being physically active at work
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Dependable, punctual and work as scheduled
- Pass pre-employment DOT regulated drug screen & physical
- Must be 21+ for consideration
