High Reach Forklift Operator (Double-Deep Warehouse Experience Required)

To be considered, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. This position requires significant experience operating High Reach equipment within a double-deep warehouse environment, as well as extensive experience operating Sit-Down Electric Counterbalance Forklifts and Electric Rider Pallet Jacks.

This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to standard stand-up reach trucks, cherry pickers, order pickers, or general forklift operation without substantial high-reach, double-deep warehouse experience.

Job Summary

On Target Staffing has a client that is a large food distribution facility, and is seeking an experienced Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse putaway operations. This role requires the ability to transition between a High Reach Truck, Sit-Down Electric Counterbalance Forklift, and Electric Rider Pallet Jack in a high-volume distribution environment.

Required Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Applicants must possess all of the following:

• Minimum three (3) years of recent High Reach Truck experience
• Experience operating High Reach equipment within double-deep inventory systems
• Experience handling double and triple-stacked pallet storage
• Minimum five (5) years of Sit-Down Electric Counterbalance Forklift experience
• Minimum five (5) years of Electric Rider Pallet Jack experience (front rider, center rider, or end rider)
• Previous experience in both Shipping & Receiving and Warehouse Putaway Operations
• Experience working within a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Strong understanding of OSHA-compliant forklift and warehouse safety practices

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate High Reach Trucks to perform putaway functions within double-deep racking systems.
• Safely handle and store double and triple-stacked pallets at elevated heights.
• Operate Sit-Down Electric Counterbalance Forklifts for shipping and receiving activities.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments in a high-volume environment.
• Operate Electric Rider Pallet Jacks for order selection and warehouse support as needed.
• Verify inventory accuracy and complete inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report operational concerns.
• Assist with warehouse organization, pallet storage, and material movement.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work closely with supervisors and warehouse leadership to maintain productivity and efficiency goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution operations.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and product verification.
• Experience working in food distribution, grocery distribution, or other high-volume warehouse environments.
