Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to newborns in a hospital nursery setting
• Monitor and assess the health status of newborn patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient and family needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Newborn Nursery or related neonatal nursing specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification required
• Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a newborn nursery or NICU environment
• Familiarity with hospital-based electronic medical record systems
