Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:30–20:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
• Care for post-cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve, and combined CABG/valve procedures
• Manage patients with cardiac diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, AFIB with RVR, and cardiogenic shock
• Support vascular patients including peripheral bypasses and EVAR, as well as thoracic patients including VATS
• Participate in every other weekend rotation and holidays as scheduled
• Float within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU and/or open heart experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with open heart surgery patient populations and high-acuity cardiovascular care
• Comfort with floating within scope across specialty and sister units with no restrictions
• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers with extensive CVICU experience will be considered
