Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Location

Roswell, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a standard patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Care for general medical-surgical patients, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Float as needed, with occasional assignments to the ICU to manage step-down or medical-surgical overflow patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System to document and monitor patient care
• Adhere to unit protocols, infection control standards, and New Mexico state compliance requirements including fingerprinting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
• Must be submitted through an agency registered with the state of New Mexico (fingerprinting required for all travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
• Experience with step-down or ICU overflow patient populations
