Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Women's Surgical Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-operative assessments and provide comprehensive post-op care for surgical patients
• Provide specialized care including post-prostatectomy and post-hysterectomy patient management
• Manage continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) and Foley catheter maintenance
• Administer and monitor pain management protocols including PCAs and epidurals
• Deliver patient care within a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio on an 18-bed Women's Surgical unit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and surgical staff in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical unit environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• GYN/Oncology and/or Urology nursing experience
• Med/Surg post-operative experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
