Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler will assemble heat exchangers, subassemblies, and related units by following drawings, bills of materials, and engineering specifications. This role ensures that all assemblies meet quality standards, tolerances, and specifications, and involves identifying and repairing non-conforming components as needed. The position primarily focuses on stacking and assembling products and metal sheets before they are sent to the brazing process.
Responsibilities
- Assemble heat exchangers, subassemblies, and related units using drawings, bills of materials, and engineering specifications.
- Stack and assemble products and metal sheets at various stations prior to brazing.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to complete production work accurately.
- Ensure all assemblies meet defined quality standards, tolerances, and engineering specifications.
- Inspect components and assemblies to identify non-conforming parts and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Support production activities by maintaining a steady workflow and meeting production targets.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling tasks as needed to support assembly operations.
- Contribute to a safe and organized work area by following safety guidelines and reporting issues promptly.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Basic quality control and inspection skills.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and physical work in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with sheet metal and fabrication.
- Additional mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously when necessary.
- Familiarity with production processes and electronic assembly is beneficial.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift position with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work takes place in an open warehouse that includes both indoor and outdoor areas. While there is no air conditioning, multiple industrial-sized fans are positioned at every station, and water and electrolytes are provided to support comfort and safety throughout the day. Approximately 20 people work in the production area, creating a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The dress code is very casual, with steel-toed boots required for safety.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
