Assistant Restaurant Manager

An Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in driving daily operations, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Key duties include supervising team members, managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining top-tier sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Profitability: Assist the GM in maintaining cost controls for food, beverage, and labor while executing daily paperwork and store-level technology tasks.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop team members. Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and schedule associates to meet sales demands.
• Guest Relations: Ensure uncompromising product preparation and presentation. Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to guarantee a positive neighborhood dining experience.
• Safety & Sanitation: Uphold Health Department and company sanitation standards. Ensure the restaurant remains organized, clean, and secure at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of management experience in the casual dining or restaurant industry.
• Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, basic math, and proficiency with POS systems.
• Certifications: ServSafe Food and Alcohol certifications that meet state requirements are highly preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a degree in business administration is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours at a time.
• Must be able to safely lift pots, pans, glassware, and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
