Job Description
The Material Handler plays a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations by efficiently receiving, storing, transporting, and issuing materials and components. This position ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory handling, and timely delivery of materials while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Print, review, and maintain daily pick lists, material movement documentation, and inventory records.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials, components, and finished goods into designated warehouse or production locations.
- Pick, issue, and stage materials to support production orders and customer shipments.
- Transport materials and components to designated production areas and departments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts, audits, and related inventory activities.
- Follow established processes and procedures to ensure accuracy, traceability, and efficiency of material flow.
- Communicate effectively with production, planning, logistics, and warehouse personnel to support operational goals.
- Operate material handling equipment including hand jacks, pallet trucks, forklifts, cranes, and related tools in accordance with training and safety requirements.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and communicate planned and unplanned absences in accordance with company policy.
- Complete special projects and additional assignments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support safety standards and production efficiency.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience (or willingness to be trained).
- Lockout/Tagout certification (training provided if not currently certified).
- Ability to individually lift up to 50 pounds frequently and assist with team lifts for items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the production facility for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment with machine and operational noise for the entirety of the shift.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including listening and speaking.
- Picking, packing, and packaging experience.
- RF scanner and pallet jack operation skills.
- General production knowledge.

Work Environment
The work environment is an open production setting where candidates may work with metal parts. Expect to get hands dirty during tasks. The environment may include machine and operational noise throughout the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Mankato, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
