Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing essential services to Pre-K and elementary students. This is a full-time opportunity, offering 32.5 hours per week from August through May 2027. Work closely with a supportive educational team to empower young learners by helping them overcome communication barriers in a nurturing school environment. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 52 students, enabling them to flourish both academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings with Pre-K or elementary-aged children is highly preferred
- Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech and language disorders among assigned caseload of Pre-K and elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational staff and families
- Conduct therapy sessions, both individual and group, in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track progress and maintain detailed, compliant records for each student
- Provide consultation and resources to teachers to support classroom communication strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development as needed
