Job Description
This role supports hands-on assembly and production work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow work instructions, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards while maintaining an organized work area.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble products according to work instructions and specifications
- Operate hand and power tools such as sanders, nail guns, clamps, and presses
- Read tape measures and follow work orders using basic computer systems
- Perform inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
- Assist with packaging, material handling, and staging for production
- Support machine operation and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Ability to perform assembly and general production work
- Basic measuring and math skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or production setting
- Basic computer skills for production-related tasks
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, or carpentry
- Experience working with machines or production equipment
- Familiarity with reading basic drawings or work instructions
- Experience with material handling or forklift operation
- Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train
- First-shift schedule with consistent hours
- Manufacturing floor setting with standing, lifting, and tool use
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and production materials
- Safety-focused environment with required PPE
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northwood, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
