Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal brake presses and tube benders, adhering to strict safety standards. You will play a crucial role in the forming of various parts by following part prints and using different measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and form various metal components of different sizes and types.
• Understand and utilize different tooling configurations with limited guidance.
• Operate sheet metal brake presses and tube benders safely and efficiently.
• Use measuring devices accurately to ensure precision in metal forming processes.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation, including power tools, brake machines, and tube bending.
• Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings.
• Experience using tape measures and other measuring devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field.
• Knowledge of pressure testing procedures, leak detection methods, and chiller systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures.
• Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting preferred.

Work Environment

Our large plant environment is non-temperature controlled. Employees are expected to stand and walk for long periods and may need to lift up to 50 pounds (non-repetitive) and stoop. The position requires working on B-Shift, Friday through Sunday, from 6 PM to 6 AM, where you will work 36 hours and be paid for 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $26.14/hr.
