Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for Special Education professionals in a welcoming learning environment near Cleveland, OH. This position spans the 2026–2027 academic year, beginning August 24 and concluding June 7. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll focus your expertise within a single building, supporting students at the middle or primary level.
Two positions are available: one supports a classroom of 9–12 students with multiple disabilities, including non-verbal students, autism, and physical impairments. The other is dedicated to a group of 10–15 students with emotional disabilities, where you’ll engage in social-emotional instruction, implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), and provide effective crisis intervention as needed. Your skills will help foster a supportive atmosphere where every student can achieve their potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license
- Experience with multiple disabilities (MD), including autism and physical impairments
- Proficiency creating and implementing IEPs and BIPs
- Commitment to social-emotional learning and proven crisis intervention skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexible and patient, with a mission-driven mindset
