This assignment provides you with hands-on experience in both a Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom (serving 9-12 students with autism, physical impairments, and non-verbal needs) and an Emotional Disabilities (ED) classroom (supporting 10-15 students using BIPS, social-emotional learning, and crisis intervention strategies). Experience working in one building while collaborating with dedicated teams at Heskett Middle School and Glendale or Central Primary. Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher license (required to be considered)
  • Experience with multiple disabilities, autism, and non-verbal students preferred
  • Familiarity with emotional disabilities, BIPS, and crisis intervention is a plus
  • Openness to working with a range of student needs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and instruct in MD and ED classrooms
  • Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Plans
