Join our team as an Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in transforming raw materials into subassemblies for radio communication equipment. The finished products are control cabinets essential for powering and operating communication systems. This position involves preparing products for systems level assembly, which includes tasks such as unpacking, setting up assemblies, final packaging, and performing repairs as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Access the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment.
- Verify kits, enter batch lot information, and package and label accessory items according to documented instructions.
- Use appropriate mats and all required tooling.
- Check equipment like torque wrenches and screwdrivers to ensure proper performance.
- Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision.
- Assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies.
- Notify leadership of any shutdown situations.
- Enter data into the Process Feedback System (PFS) and link subassemblies to the final unit.
- Enter quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
- Ensure the quality of work meets or exceeds customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and assist less experienced operators.
- Build subassemblies and add labels according to manufacturing instructions and schematic drawings.
- Perform systems integration specific hand soldering and inspection operations as per documented instructions.
- Perform the F-cert function to ensure final units have passed through all necessary operations.
- Conduct final inspections of units to ensure no visible defects and wipe down units as needed.
- Add user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc. as per documented instructions.
- Assist manufacturing engineering in basic prototype and pre-production builds.
- Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under moderate supervision.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly (new build lines, subassembly/final assembly).
- Good component recognition skills.
- Understanding of basic computer skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
This is a contract-to-hire, full-time position offering ample opportunities for overtime, particularly towards the end of each quarter. You will work in a smaller, clean room environment conveniently located in Round Rock. The career path is well-defined, offering growth from an SI Assembler to a Precision Assembler, and eventually to a Manufacturing Technician. Work Environment
The work environment is a smaller clean room, climate-controlled, with a small team. You will be cross-trained in all functions of the job. There are two openings on the 1st shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the 2nd shift: Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
