Job Summary

Join a dynamic commercial construction team as an Assistant Project Manager, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive the successful delivery of complex building projects. In this role, you will support project managers in coordinating all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline communication, manage resources effectively, and foster a collaborative environment across all projects.

Duties

  • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using construction management software.

  • Support project managers in preparing and reviewing construction estimates and budgets utilizing construction estimating software.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.

  • Monitor project progress on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

  • Prepare and update project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and daily reports.

  • Use digital tools to review drawings, markups, and facilitate seamless communication among team members.

  • Assist in tracking project costs, time management efforts, and resource allocation to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with construction site operations or as an Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager in commercial construction projects.

  • Familiarity with construction management software.

  • Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques and construction management principles.

  • Knowledge of contracts, change management processes, and construction estimating practices.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Construction site experience is preferred to better understand on-the-ground challenges and safety protocols.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
