Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting PreK students as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist in an engaging ESY (Extended School Year) program. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience working with young learners near Cuyahoga Falls, OH, in a role designed to foster growth and development during a focused period.
You’ll thrive in a supportive educational setting and collaborate alongside dedicated professionals as you help each student reach their potential. Work is structured with a convenient Monday through Thursday schedule, offering you long weekends throughout the program’s July 6 - August 6 timeframe. Enjoy a stable routine, working 8:00am to 1:30pm and accumulating 22 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid credentials as a Special Education Teacher, with emphasis on Early Childhood or Intervention Specialist certificates
- Prior experience supporting PreK or early childhood students in a school setting
- Solid knowledge of early intervention strategies and IEP implementation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Role Duties:
- Deliver individualized instruction to meet each PreK student’s unique IEP goals
- Foster a welcoming, developmentally appropriate classroom culture
- Collaborate with support staff and families to build continuity of care
- Document progress and actively participate in team meetings
- Adapt instructional approaches as needed to address a variety of learning styles and needs
