Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This role involves operating plastic injection molding equipment on a second shift schedule, carefully inspecting small plastic parts as they come off the machines, and preparing them for shipment. You will work in a clean, growing production environment with no heavy lifting, contributing directly to efficient and high-quality manufacturing output.
Responsibilities
- Operate plastic injection machines safely and efficiently during assigned shifts.
- Inspect small plastic parts as they come off the plastic injection machines to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and separate defective or nonconforming parts according to established procedures.
- Place inspected parts into boxes and prepare them for shipment in an organized and accurate manner.
- Perform basic assembly, packaging, and general production tasks as needed to support overall workflow.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
- Follow all production, quality, and safety guidelines and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Adapt to schedule changes, including the transition from a 4 pm–2 am schedule to 8-hour shifts starting in August.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in production or general production environments.
- Ability to operate basic machinery and follow machine operating procedures.
- Comfort with performing repetitive tasks such as inspection, assembly, and packaging.
- Strong attention to detail for inspecting small plastic parts for quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Reliability in adhering to second shift hours and any updated 8-hour shift schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience with machine operation in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing production environment.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as additional machines and assembly lines are added.

Work Environment
This position is based in a very clean manufacturing facility focused on plastic injection molding and assembly. The current schedule is second shift, 4 pm to 2 am, Monday through Thursday, with a transition to 8-hour shifts starting in August. The facility is actively expanding, including the installation of an eighth plastic injection machine and the addition of an assembly line. Work involves handling small plastic parts with no heavy lifting, performing inspection, assembly, packaging, and general production tasks. You will work around production machinery in a structured, safety-conscious environment, with appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing floor.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
