Material Handler & Logistics Support specialist (Water Spider)

Rightstone is looking for a Material Handler & Logistics Support specialist (Water Spider) in Deer Park, TX. The pay rate is $19.00/hr for a 12-month contract with a consistent Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM schedule and strong potential for renewal.

In this role, you will join Baker Hughes, a global leader in energy technology, at our Battleground Business Park facility. Operating as a "Water Spider," you will be the operational backbone of the production floor—safely operating forklifts to pick, receive, and continuously replenish materials to keep assembly lines moving without interruption. This is an ideal position for an active, organized logistics professional with strong inventory tracking skills who thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What you will do:

• Serve as the primary material coordinator ("Water Spider") on the floor, proactively staging, picking, and replenishing inventory for production teams.
• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport inbound and outbound industrial freight.
• Execute accurate receiving and picking transactions, documenting stock movements utilizing basic PC systems and warehouse software.
• Read, comprehend, and follow technical material sheets, shipping memos, and inventory correspondence.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations daily to verify part counts, cross-checking physical inventory against order sheets.
• Maintain constant movement across a fast-paced, high-volume industrial shop floor to eliminate material bottlenecks.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of stable warehouse, material handling, or industrial logistics experience.
• Proven hands-on forklift operations experience (loading, unloading, and navigating tight shop floors).
• Solid experience handling both receiving and picking transactions with a focus on inventory accuracy.
• Physical stamina to manage constant movement in a noisy shop environment, regularly lifting 20 lbs and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer/PC literacy for logging inventory data, paired with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Absolute dependability to maintain a strict 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM schedule, with openness to mandatory overtime and weekends as workload demands.

This is a temporary/contract position. While benefits (Health, 401k, PTO) are not provided during the contract period, they may become available upon successful conversion to a permanent role.
