Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to support PreK students in an engaging ESY (Extended School Year) program. Located near Cleveland, OH, this position runs from July 6 through August 6 and is ideal for passionate educators dedicated to early childhood special education. Work Monday through Thursday—Fridays are always free!—from 8:00am to 1:30pm, for a total of 22 hours per week. Enjoy competitive compensation with hourly pay ranging between $34 and $40, depending on experience and credentials.

Key Qualifications and Background:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with Early Childhood Intervention endorsement strongly preferred
  • Experience working with PreK or early childhood populations
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with program staff, therapists, and families
  • Understanding of a wide range of learning and behavioral needs in early childhood students
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and activities to PreK students with diverse special needs
  • Adapt curriculum materials and instructional techniques according to individual student goals
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, interventionists, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain progress documentation and assist in ESY program assessments
