We are seeking a skilled Bench Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and assembling components by following detailed instructions and specifications. This role requires precision and attention to detail in order to ensure high-quality assembly of parts and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying a supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, requesting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Proficiency in assembly, using hand and power tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and mechanical assembly instructions.
- Understanding of electronics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- High School diploma with a minimum of two years of previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to read formal and informal drawings/tool sheets and layout specified material.

Work Environment
Work in a small light industrial shop with a family-type feel. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with an hour lunch break.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
