Job Summary

This is a 3-month contract for maternity leave coverage. Under general supervision, the Data Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support for a database which supports a system. The ideal candidate is a versatile, patient- and provider-facing professional who brings high accountability and a calm under-pressure demeanor to our pediatric referral pipeline. This individual will manage critical scheduling and family communications, utilizing strong organization and meticulous documentation skills. This position requires an adaptable self-starter who can multi-task, pivot between various tasks effortlessly, and contribute immediately on day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of advanced administrative and support services for a database which supports a system.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Organizes and enters data into appropriate databases.
  • Maintains and ensures the integrity and security of one or more databases.
  • Trains other staff as users of the system.
  • Extracts data as needed for reporting requirements.
  • Imports data as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • All employees are required to familiarize themselves and continually comply with all federal and state health care laws, regulations and rules (including Medicare and Medicaid billing requirements which are applicable to the employee's job duties). Any employee who becomes aware of possible noncompliance with applicable laws is required to promptly report such possible noncompliance to his or her immediate manager or Compliance Hot Line. No adverse action or any form of retaliation shall be taken by the Hospitals against any employee because of that person's good faith report of possible noncompliance.
