The General Laborer is responsible for the melter/filler side of the production process, where they will handle blocks of butter, approximately 40 lbs each, and place them into a large tub for melting down to be used in production. The role involves packaging, labeling, and sanitation on the sweet and condensed side, assisting a machine that fills boxes, pails, and totes with the final product. This position is primarily focused on the physical aspects of production.
Responsibilities
- Handle and melt blocks of butter for the production process.
- Assist in packaging, labeling, and sanitation tasks.
- Operate machinery to fill containers with final product.
- Perform general labor and janitorial duties as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the production area.
- Production and general labor experience.
- Packing and cleaning abilities.
- Loading and picking skills.
- Food production and handling expertise.
- Ability to perform sanitation tasks.
- 6 months of food production experience.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs throughout the day.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled, offering a slightly cool atmosphere. This is a food manufacturing setting where employees cannot wear jewelry and are provided with a jacket, hair net, and beard net if needed. All employees are trained to follow GMPs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winthrop, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
