Job Description

The General Laborer is responsible for the melter/filler side of the production process, where they will handle blocks of butter, approximately 40 lbs each, and place them into a large tub for melting down to be used in production. The role involves packaging, labeling, and sanitation on the sweet and condensed side, assisting a machine that fills boxes, pails, and totes with the final product. This position is primarily focused on the physical aspects of production.

Responsibilities

• Handle and melt blocks of butter for the production process.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and sanitation tasks.
• Operate machinery to fill containers with final product.
• Perform general labor and janitorial duties as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the production area.

Essential Skills

• Production and general labor experience.
• Packing and cleaning abilities.
• Loading and picking skills.
• Food production and handling expertise.
• Ability to perform sanitation tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of food production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs throughout the day.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.

The work environment is climate-controlled, offering a slightly cool atmosphere. This is a food manufacturing setting where employees cannot wear jewelry and are provided with a jacket, hair net, and beard net if needed. All employees are trained to follow GMPs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winthrop, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
