Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
The General Production Worker serves as an entry-level role within the plant and supports daily operations by cleaning and filling machines, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. This position involves working at heights, performing physically demanding tasks, and contributing to efficient production and logistics activities.
Shift: Rotating Days and Nights
Pay: 17.46/hr
Responsibilities
- Clean and fill production machines to support continuous and efficient operation.
- Load and unload railroad cars with products and materials in a safe and timely manner.
- Handle and load 22-pound bags of peanuts repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Perform general production and general labor tasks, including operating equipment as assigned.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles as part of daily operations.
- Carry out sanitation and housekeeping duties around the facility to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Work in and around confined spaces and at heights, including on rail cars, stairs, and elevated areas within the facility.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure safe operations.
- Support manual labor tasks such as dumping trucks, filling bags, and other physically intensive activities as needed.
Essential Skills
- At least 6+ months of production experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate in a general production or general labor role, including basic equipment operation.
- Previous forklift or front-end loader experience preferred, ideally 6+ months.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow instructions and communicate clearly with other employees.
- Capability to perform basic math as needed for production tasks.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights without fear.
- Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds throughout the shift.
- Comfort working in hot environments and in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to following safety rules and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts, front-end loaders, or similar industrial equipment.
- Experience in loading and unloading trucks, rail cars, or similar logistics tasks.
- Previous experience in sanitation, housekeeping, or facility cleaning within a production environment.
- Demonstrated reliability and consistency in physically demanding roles.
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and work areas throughout a large facility.

Work Environment
This role involves working both inside and outside the plant, with most time spent outdoors. The production area is consistently hot, and work continues in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather. The position is physically demanding and includes manual labor such as dumping trucks, filling 22-pound bags of peanuts, and performing housekeeping tasks. Employees work throughout a large facility, including climbing stairs, working on rail cars, and operating at heights. The dress code requires jeans and a work-appropriate shirt, with no shorts or sleeveless shirts allowed. Steel-toed boots are required and must be provided by the employee. The company supplies other personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs. The culture is highly safety-oriented, and employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.46 - $17.46/hr.
