Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee community solar projects in Illinois. These projects typically range from 1 to 2.5 MW in size. The role involves managing day-to-day operations and administrative duties on site, ensuring smooth progress of the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and administrative tasks at the construction site.
- Report progress and safety updates daily to the Senior Construction Manager.
- Oversee sub vendors and collaborate with their foremen.
- Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Set daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and subcontractors.
- Develop a three-week look-ahead schedule and coordinate with the Senior Construction Manager to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries with the logistics team and subcontractors.
- Review project blueprints and plans daily.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction management, preferably in commercial electrical or civil projects.
- Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or extensive construction management experience.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including PDF, Word, and Excel.
- OSHA 10 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification (training can be provided if necessary).
- Experience in solar projects is a plus.
- Electrician or electrical experience is advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer located in central and northwest Illinois. The team includes various electrical and civil subcontractors. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for approved overtime. The dress code requires construction attire, including jeans, a T-shirt, and proper PPE.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
