Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Hilo Driver primary responsibility is to ensure that that all machines are stocked with necessary materials and components. They are also responsible for removal of all finished stock and placing it in its designated area as well as the removal of trash and scrap. They must also ensure workstations have empty packaging and/or racks while adhering to company policies and procedures. However, there may be times when the utility/hi-lo driver’s will be required to perform other duties as requested through management or his/her supervisor.
Shift times
1st Shift- 5:30am-1:30pm
2nd Shift- 4:30pm-12:30am
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Ability to safely operator the Forklift.
· Complete the daily inspection as required
· Ensure press running has enough empty boxes, bins, totes or crates
· Removal of finished stock
· Change propane or battery following all safety procedures
· Empty trash
· Remove scrap parts and place in designated area
· Verify labeling is correct
· Set-up workstation with proper secondaries and all machinery to run properly
· Maintain shift to shift communication
· Ensure work cells are properly cleaned and organized according to 5S principles
· Attention to detail
· Teamwork and communication skills
· Keep work area clean and organized
· Follow all safety and company policies and procedures
· Responsibilities include all listed above, but are not limited only to those listed above
