Machinist (5 axis, mill turn machine programming, GD&T)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations at our Houston (Rankin Road) facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience operating turning and milling machines, with the ability to set up and run equipment independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate turning and milling machines to manufacture precision components
• Experience with 5 axis
• Work with Mazak Mazatrol and Hurco WinMax controls (experience preferred)
• Operate manual machines (lathe, mill, etc.) as required
• Perform machine setup including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program verification with minimal supervision
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints, including Dimensional tolerances and GD&T symbols and callouts
• Conduct in‐process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Ensure components meet quality, accuracy, and specification requirements
• Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment
• Proven experience operating turning and milling machines & experience with 5 axis
• Strong knowledge of machine setup and machining processes
• Ability to operate manual machines when required
• Excellent understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship
