Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Buffalo, MN.

Details
  • Acute care hospital setting designated as a Level 4 Trauma Center with 39 total staffed beds
  • MRI unit with 1 scan room and an average of 20 visits per day
  • Patient populations include adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and pediatric outpatient
  • Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Monday and Tuesday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
  • PACS and Siemens scanner experience required
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ARRT (MR) or equivalent licensure required; pending license accepted if applicable
  • Experience across a broad range of MRI procedures including brain, cranial nerves, face/soft tissue neck, head MRA/MRV, and orbits
  • Abdomen and pelvis MRI experience required, including abdominal MRA, female pelvis, and MRCP
  • Chest MRI experience including breast and chest imaging
  • Musculoskeletal MRI experience required: shoulder, knee, hip/bony pelvis, foot, hand, TMJ with/without contrast, upper and lower extremity long bones, and sternum
  • Spine MRI experience required: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacrum/coccyx
  • Proficiency with advanced imaging techniques including diffusion imaging, gradient echo, spin echo, T1/T2 weighted imaging, MIP, MPR, ADC mapping, subtraction imaging, and surface coils
  • Skills in isolation precautions, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and starting peripheral IVs
  • Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
  • PACS and Siemens experience required
  • 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
  • All applicable certifications, including license verification, required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform a wide range of MRI procedures across neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, pelvic, chest, and spine imaging
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift
  • RTO requests are ideally no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
  • Pre-employment orientation modules are required prior to the start of the assignment
  • Charcoal gray scrubs required
