    Job Details
  • Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care in the Emergency Department (ED) utilizing nursing process, technology, and resources within institutional philosophy.
  • Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies care plans, implements nursing interventions, and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Ensures patient and staff safety by reporting and correcting hazards.
  • Communicates and collaborates with staff, patients, and families to promote a healing environment.
  • Provides feedback for professional development and expands knowledge base.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Illinois state RN License in good standing required.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • PALS (American Heart Association) required.
    Schedule Information
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within an hour.
  • No block scheduling.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Emergency Department (ED) nursing specialty.
  • Implements procedures and theories specific to ED nursing.
  • Responsible for patient and staff safety through nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards.
    Additional Details
  • EPIC experience required.
  • Trauma level 2 or higher preferred.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) highly preferred.
