Certification Details
- Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care in the Emergency Department (ED) utilizing nursing process, technology, and resources within institutional philosophy.
- Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies care plans, implements nursing interventions, and maintains accurate documentation.
- Ensures patient and staff safety by reporting and correcting hazards.
- Communicates and collaborates with staff, patients, and families to promote a healing environment.
- Provides feedback for professional development and expands knowledge base.
Job Details
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- Illinois state RN License in good standing required.
- BLS (American Heart Association) required.
- ACLS (American Heart Association) required.
- PALS (American Heart Association) required.
Job Requirements
- Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- 36 hours per week.
- 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within an hour.
- No block scheduling.
Schedule Information
- Emergency Department (ED) nursing specialty.
- Implements procedures and theories specific to ED nursing.
- Responsible for patient and staff safety through nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards.
Unit Specific Information
- EPIC experience required.
- Trauma level 2 or higher preferred.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) highly preferred.
