Job Details

Travel ER RN position responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegates patient care priorities based on education and experience of available staff.
Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Schedule Information

Shift: Mids, 12:30 PM to 1:00 AM.
36 hours per week.
48-hour weekly guarantees are not available.
Blocked scheduling with attempts to make days as close/block as possible while meeting weekend requirements but cannot guarantee.
No call required.
No floating required.

Beds in unit: 29 plus 8 hallways.
Patient ratios: 1:4.
Scrub color: Navy.
EMR system: Cerner.
RTO blackout dates or required holidays: one major and one minor holiday possible.
Max RTO: None as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met.
Scope of role includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
