    Job Details
  • Travel ER RN position responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
  • Delegates patient care priorities based on education and experience of available staff.
  • Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience required.
  • At least 2 previous travel assignments successfully completed.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • PALS certification required.
  • ESI level 5 training required.
  • TNCC preferred.
  • Cerner experience preferred.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: Mids, 12:30 PM to 1:00 AM.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • 48-hour weekly guarantees are not available.
  • Blocked scheduling with attempts to make days as close/block as possible while meeting weekend requirements but cannot guarantee.
  • No call required.
  • No floating required.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Emergency Department unit with 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds.
  • Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients.
  • ESI level 5 triage training required.
  • TNCC preferred.
    Additional Details
  • Beds in unit: 29 plus 8 hallways.
  • Patient ratios: 1:4.
  • Scrub color: Navy.
  • EMR system: Cerner.
  • RTO blackout dates or required holidays: one major and one minor holiday possible.
  • Max RTO: None as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met.
  • Scope of role includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
  • Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
