Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 13-week assignment
Highlights:- Work in a 266-bed acute care hospital with oceanside location
- Support Labor & Delivery unit with C-sections, cerclage removals, and vaginal deliveries
- Epic charting system in a modern surgical environment
- 24-hour orientation to ensure smooth transition
- Exposure to diverse obstetrical procedures and neonatal patient population
- Local candidates accepted for this position
- Minimum 2 years of OB Tech experience required
- Active California state license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Current BLS certification required
- Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- LA County fire card obtained within last 30 days required
- Skills required: C-sections, vaginal delivery, aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection, case cart management, equipment documentation
- Preferred skills: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, D&C, laparoscopic procedures, obstetrical case trays, and SPD decontamination equipment
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
This travel opportunity offers competitive compensation with a 13-week contract in one of Southern California's premier coastal communities. You'll work night shifts in a supportive Labor & Delivery environment with a daily census of approximately 4 patients and 7 visits per day. Commitment to working 3 of 5 major holidays required, and flexibility to float between facilities within California may be necessary.
